UPSC CAPF result 2026 released at upsc.gov.in; 1286 candidates qualify for PET: Direct link to download here

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination 2025 written result. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now check and download the result PDF from the official website upsc.gov.in.

As per the official update, 1,286 candidates have qualified for the next stage of the selection process, which includes the Physical Standards Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

The written examination for UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandants was conducted on August 3, 2025. Candidates who cleared the written exam will now appear for the physical tests conducted in the next phase.

Candidature is provisional

UPSC has clarified that the candidature of all qualified candidates is provisional. Candidates must produce original documents to support their eligibility claims during the later stages of selection. These include:

• Age proof
• Educational qualification certificates
• Category certificates (SC/ST/OBC/EWS)
• Ex-servicemen certificates (if applicable)

Candidates seeking reservation benefits must ensure that their certificates were issued on or before March 25, 2025, which was the application closing date.

15-day window to update details

UPSC has also opened a 15-day window from April 10, 2026 for qualified candidates. During this period, candidates must:

• Update educational qualification status
• Upload proof of qualifying exam
• Update address details
• Add higher education details (if any)
• Provide employment or service experience

Candidates who fail to update these details within the given timeline will not be allowed to appear for the interview or personality test.

Admit cards to be released next

The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has been appointed as the nodal authority for conducting the PST and PET. Admit cards for the next stage will be released soon.

Candidates must carry:

• Admit card
• Hard copy of submitted Detailed Application Form (DAF)
• Valid photo ID proof
