Coonoor Assembly Election Results 2026 Live Updates: MK’s M Raju wins by 8,099 vote margin

In Coonoor, M Raju of DMK secured a clear victory, polling 50,470 votes and defeating AIADMK’s A Ramu by a margin of 8,099 votes. TVK’s C Thangaraju finished third with 42,225 votes, as the constituency delivered a decisive mandate in favour of DMK.

The Coonoor constituency in Tamil Nadu has returned its verdict. AIADMK candidate A. Ramu wins the seat, bringing an end to Ramachandran, K.'s term as the DMK MLA. The seat, currently held by DMK's Ramachandran, K., now passes to the AIADMK as counting concludes in this Tamil Nadu assembly segment.

The result is in from Coonoor in Tamil Nadu. DMK candidate M. Raju has won the seat, finishing ahead of AIADMK's A. Ramu by a margin of 8,099 votes. Raju polled 50,470 votes against Ramu's 42,371, sealing the outcome in a contest that has now been officially declared.

In Coonoor, Tamil Nadu, AIADMK's A. Ramu is currently ahead in the vote count with 27,079 votes. DMK's M. Raju is right behind with 27,330 votes, making the margin a mere 251 votes. The current seat holder, DMK's Ramachandran, K., isn't in the top 3 at this point. Counting is still ongoing.
