Amirul Islam (Trinamool Congress), Mozaffar Hossain (Communist Party of India (Marxist)), Motab Shaikh (Congress), Sunil Chowdhuri (Bharatiya Janata Party), Azmerul Sk (Rashtriya Secular Majlis Party), Imtiaz Ahmed Mollah (Aam Janata Unnayan party), Tilottama Haldar (Bharatiya Nyay-Adhikar Raksha Party), Alok Kumar Mandal (Independent), Abdul Kader (Independent), Nandalal Ghosh (Independent), Shashanka Das (Independent), and Sulaiman Shaikh (Independent) — 12 candidates contesting from Farakka in West Bengal's 2026 Assembly Election. Votes cast across this constituency are now being counted, and early trends from each round will be closely watched as the day unfolds. Farakka is a General constituency under the Maldaha Dakshin Lok Sabha segment, with 227,549 voters on its electoral rolls. In 2021, Manirul Islam of the Trinamool Congress won by a margin of 59,945 votes.
