Bengali television and film actress Sraboni Banik passed away on December 29, 2025, at the age of 41, after a prolonged battle with lung cancer. The actress breathed her last around 9 am, following a sharp deterioration in her health over the past few days. She had been hospitalised after suffering complications related to lung adenocarcinoma and metastasis.Sraboni carved a niche for herself across films and television with her strong screen presence and versatile performances. She made her mark in Bengali cinema with films such as Alo (2003) and Chander Bari (2007), while television audiences remember her for popular serials. Over the years, she became a familiar and respected face across multiple blocks of the Bengali entertainment industry.
