Sajid Khan hospitalised after accident on film set; Farah Khan says, ‘The surgery is done, he is absolutely fine now’
Filmmaker Sajid Khan suffered an injury on Saturday after meeting with an accident while shooting in Mumbai. The director was reportedly on the sets of an Ekta Kapoor production when he fractured his foot, following which he was advised surgery. Sajid underwent the procedure on Sunday.

Farah Khan confirms surgery was successful

Confirming the development, Sajid’s sister, filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan, told us that the surgery went smoothly and that he is doing well. “The surgery is done, he is absolutely fine now,” she told Hindustan Times, reassuring fans about his recovery.

According to sources, the accident occurred during the shoot, prompting immediate medical attention. Sajid was last seen in public at cousin Zoya Akhtar’s Christmas party a few days before the incident.Sajid Khan has been preparing for a return to direction after a long break, with Humshakals (2014) being his last directorial venture. He made his debut as a director with Darna Zaroori Hai (2005), a horror anthology that featured actors including Amitabh Bachchan and Arjun Rampal.He later found major commercial success with Heyy Babyy (2007), starring Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and Vidya Balan, followed by Housefull (2010) and Housefull 2 (2012), both of which performed well at the box office.

Bigg Boss 16 stint

In recent years, Sajid remained in the spotlight due to his stint on Bigg Boss 16, where he formed close friendships with contestants Shiv Thakare, MC Stan, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Sumbul Touqeer Khan and Tajikistani singer and influencer Abdu Rozik. The group came to be popularly known as the “Mandali.” For now, Sajid Khan is said to be in talks for a new project that would mark his comeback to filmmaking, while he focuses on recovery following the surgery.
