She wrote, “I don’t understand why my parents are being dragged into every podcast and interview. And when I answer honestly and respectfully, my words get molded into attention seeking headlines. Why? Please stick to me only. They have already had their own set of struggles..please don’t cause them any more pain.”
Her brother, Indian cricketer Deepak Chahar, also stood by her and reacted to the tweet with a brief but firm response, writing, “Exactly why?”
