We always look for a little bit of luck, even our favourite celebrities need it. Rigid beliefs and quirky talismans make up for the superstitions that our superstars are, at times, driven by. Most of the beliefs are linked around film releases and subsequent success stories. Read on to know more about your favourite celebrities who are superstitious.

It is a known fact that the actor is strongly attached to a sapphire bracelet which he always wears. It was reportedly gifted to him by his father Salim Khan. Once while partying, Salman lost his bracelet, a frantic search was called for and the lucky charm was found by Ashmit Patel. Salman also gifted a similar talisman to Govinda, to give a push to his career. He already wears the blue bracelet as a lucky charm. Salman Khan has also reportedly started wearing a special locket, especially for the holy month of Ramadan.

Rituparna's lucky number is three and red is her lucky colour. For any important work, she always wears red and carry a red lipstick with her all the time. Even the celebrated actor has a few phone numbers that all end with 21.

Deepika Padukone is a regular at the Siddivinayak Temple in Prabhadevi. The actress has reportedly made it a superstition to visit the temple before any of her films' release, to seek divine blessings. Deepika had followed this ritual for all her releases like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Chennai Express, Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram-Leela. Deepika dresses up in her traditional best, and visits the temple.

The versatile actor once shared, "My birthday is on November 3, Raj’s (Chakrabarty, husband) birthday is on February 21, which adds up to the number three. So, the number three is special to me. My car has the number 21, which adds up to three and Raj’s car has the number 111, which adds up to three."

The Baadshah of Bollywood too has a belief attached to his fleet of cars. Shah Rukh Khan seems to follow strongly in the power of numbers. Hence every car that he owns includes the special serial of digits, 555. This number is sort of mandatory to be on the number plate of all his cars. Reportedly, SRK refuses to own a car, when the triplets are missing.

Katrina Kaif apparently credits Ajmer Sharif for the success she has seen till date. The actress is superstitious about the holy place, she has made it a necessary ritual to visit the dargah before the release of any of her movies. With all the star power that she carries, Kats has to make her visits discreet. She wears traditional outfits and makes ample efforts to cover her face. She walks in a circle of guards to avoid crowd.

"My lucky numbers are 3 and 6. All the cars I own have either of these numbers on the number plates. My phone number too has one of these two digits. Whenever I check into a hotel, my room number must have a 3 or 6," the Tollywood superstar said during an interview.

Aamir Khan is not materialistically superstitious, but is a bit different from other celebrities. Aamir feels that December and Christmas releases are the lucky ones for him, as they become a hit at the box office. The perfectionist Khan insists on giving a Christmas gift to his fans. Aamir has continued this tradition with Taare Zameen Par in 2007, followed by Ghajini, 3 Idiots and Dhoom 3. He was strong on his stand to release PK close to Christmas.

Speaking about her lucky charm Raima had once shared with ETimes, "If anyone sneezes or calls out to me from behind when I am stepping out of the house, I always go back, wait for at least five minutes and then go out again. And I always carry Sarada Devi's picture in my purse, no matter where I am headed."
