Family thriller Chheledhora to begin shooting in Arunachal Pradesh

Principal photography for Chheledhora is set to begin on March 1. The family thriller is written and directed by Shieladitya Moulik and stars Swastika Mukherjee in the lead. An Indo-American co-production, the film will be shot across the largely unexplored locations of Itanagar and Ziro Valley.
Following his earlier Bengali feature Surjo, Moulik returns with a genre-blending narrative that combines family drama, thriller elements and understated dark humour. Positioned as a road movie, Chheledhora centres on a morally complex female protagonist and explores themes of parenthood, guilt, responsibility and emotional neglect.
The film follows Brishti, a divorced and emotionally conflicted woman who impulsively takes her young daughter on a birthday trip, only for events to spiral when the child is genuinely abducted. What follows is an unexpected discovery that propels Brishti into a volatile, life-altering journey.

Italian cinematographer Vincenzo Condorelli will lens the film. Production is scheduled to continue through the end of March, with further casting announcements expected soon.
