mothers day

While motherhood is a blessing to many of us, for some it may be an end to their career, ambitions, and dreams. Often women bid adieu to their glorious career after having children but that’s not the case for these stunning actresses. These super moms didn't see their motherhood as an obstacle while being inspirational mother to their children. Right from Swastika Mukherjee to Srabanti Chatterjee to Rituparna Sengupta, here are the super moms of Tollywood who managed to break the stereotype and enjoy the best of both worlds.

OMG! John Cena is following this Tollywood actress on Twitter

2/8

Swastika Mukherjee

She has a beautiful daughter from a failed marriage that ended on a bitter note. Still, Swastika has achieved unbelievable fame in her career while supporting her child Anwesha as a single mother. While her personal life hasn’t been quite smooth, the gorgeous actress dominates both the commercial and art house of Bengali cinema over the years. Anwesha has grown up now and Swastika looks radiant as always even in the forties.

3/8

Priyanka Sarkar

Leaving behind the much-talked-about failed marriage with actor Rahul Banerjee, and as the doting mother of a 7-year-old son, Priyanka Sarkar now juggles her responsibilities as a mother and an actress with equal elan. The bubbly actress has impressed the audience with her performances in films like ‘Crisscross’, ‘Byomkesh Gotro’, and 'Rajkahini' to name a few. She’s ready to embrace life as a single mother with higher spirits and better work.

4/8

Rituparna Sengupta

Being one of the finest actors of Bengali cinema, Rituparna Sengupta got married to her childhood friend Sanjay Chakraborty, when she was enjoying the peak status of her career. Even after having a son Ankan and a daughter Rishona, Rituparna is still winning hearts with her divine beauty and natural acting. She has been a significant part of super-hit films like 'Praktan', 'Rajkahini' and 'Belashese' to name a few.

5/8

Srabanti Chatterjee

Did you know the pretty actress got married at the tender age of only 15? It was just after the release of her debut film 'Champion'. The Bengali diva is blessed with a son from the marriage which didn't last long. She returned to her acting career in 2008 and never looked back. Jhinuk is now in his early teen and Srabanti is a proud mother. Motherhood never pulled back her from achieving such height.

6/8

Suchitra Sen

The legendary actress of Bengali cinema, who literally ruled the silver screen for decades, stepped into the film industry after the birth of her only daughter Moon Moon Sen. Being the undisputed queen of Bengali industry, she didn't hide the troubles of her personal life. Yet her personal life didn’t bring any hindrance in her career.

7/8

Aparna Sen

Being the iconic figure of the Bengali film industry, ageless Aparna Sen has two daughters from her second marriage. However, motherhood didn't cut her glorious career short. Her achievements in main-stream, as well as art films, are still being talked about. Instead of putting an end to her career like most other actresses, she delved into filmmaking and directed critically acclaimed films like '36 Chowringhee Lane’, 'Paroma' and won national awards for the same.

8/8

Rupanjana Mitra

People often say that an actress' career hits a roadblock after becoming a mother. However, leaving behind a troubled marriage and as the doting mother of her son Riyaan, Rupanjana believes it’s nothing but a myth and this has been created by a bunch of insecure people in our society. "Motherhood is a beautiful journey. This has nothing to do with an actor’s career. For me, I think after I became a mother I am now a more mature actor. The strength, the endurance I have now it wouldn’t have been possible if I wasn’t a mother. I believe motherhood turns an actor more mature, and more expressive. For instance, just look at Kajal. I think she’s now a brighter and more polished actor than before. If you watch Shefali Shah in her latest web series Jalsa you will understand what I am trying to say," said the actress during an interview.
