Ritwick Chakraborty and Chandreyee Ghosh will be seen in Indranil Roychowdhury’s ‘Mayar Jonjal’.

Ritwick Chakraborty will join hands with director Indranil Roychowdhury yet again for his upcoming, tentatively titled ‘Mayar Jonjal’ (‘Debris of Desire’) which is an Indo-Bangladesh collaboration.
Indranil has adapted two stories of Manik Banbandyopadhyay against the contemporary backdrop. Ritwick will play the lead of one of the stories opposite Bangladeshi actress Aupee Karim who is returning to silver screen after a long time.

The second story sees Chandreyee Ghosh and Bangladeshi actor Sohel Rana in the lead. Paran Bandyopadhyay and Bratya Basu are also playing key roles in ‘Mayar Jonjal’. Shooting for the film is almost done. Parts of the film has been shot in Dhaka as well.
Ritwick is playing an ATM security guard Chandu in the film who had to take this job after his factory was locked down. Chandu’s wife Soma also manages to find a respectable work in a housing complex but soon she starts to spend night there. Chandu realizes if he doesn’t leave this ATM job Soma will be gone forever.
In the second story, Chandreyee plays a prostitute Beauty who’s a victim of woman trafficking. Sohel plays an average young man Satya who has his own troubles in life but soon he falls for Beauty. What happens next forms the crux of the film.
