Shieladitya Moulik directs his new film on mobile phones

Since everyone is trying something new in this lockdown period, Shieladitya Moulik decided to use this time directing a film, Ekti Tara - The Lonely Star. The film features Paayel Sarkar and Shubro S Das in the lead. “It has been shot with mobile phones of the actors. After penning the script and zeroing in on the actors, we chatted over a video call. I explained them how I wanted the shots to be taken.And I must say they did a good job. The film shows a woman getting an unknown phone call from a man. He tells her that he got her number from a Facebook post. She asks the man to make a video call, as she hasn’t met any human being for a while now. The man agrees and the story takes a turn from there,” shared the director, whose film Hridpindo, starring Arpita, Shaheb Chatterjee and Prantik Banerjee, was about to release this Poila Baishak, but got pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic.
