Sohini Sarkar set to take a 'big' leap with Phoring

On the small screen, she is a face to reckon with. And now, Sohini Sarkar is all set to take a 'big' leap with Indranil Roychoudhury's 'Phoring'. The script is by Sugoto Sinha and Indranil, and the cast includes Ritwick Chakraborty, Dwijen Bandopadhyaya, Shankar Debnath and Akash, among others.
A relationship story, the film revolves around Doel (Sohini), a school teacher, and her student, Phoring (Akash).'Doel comes to North Bengal as a teacher and meets Phoring, who belongs to a needy family and doesn't have any interest in studies. Eventually, the two become friends and later, Doel becomes his obsession. The film shows how Phoring's life takes a turn when Doel leaves her job and comes back. Akash, who plays Phoring, is a sweetheart. He seems straight out of a Tagore poem,' says Sohini.
Ritwick, however, is tight-lipped about his role. 'The film explores my relation with Doel. There's a mystery element in the bonding,' adds the actor.
