Despite the rumours of ‘Villain’ being a remake of a south Indian hit spreading like a wildfire Ankush, Mimi Chakraborty and Rittika Sen, the three protagonists in the film, have managed to generate a lot of attention ahead of its Puja release. Be it the posters, the gripping trailer or the intoxicating songs, the upcoming thriller seems to be all geared up for a Box Office clash this Durga Puja. Now, to intensify the craze surrounding ‘Villain’ here is another interesting poster featuring Mimi and Ankush. While Ankush with a gun in hand flaunts his ragged avatar once again, Mimi looks gorgeous beside her. Directed by Baba Yadav, ‘Villain’ will release on October 12. This will certainly be a difficult challenge for Ankush, especially when 5 other movies also releasing on the same day, as his last film ‘Bolo Dugga Maiki’ didn’t rake good numbers at the Box Office.

The dance number composed by Subhadeep Mitra for JAM8 marks the debut of rapper Badshah in Bengali film music. All three songs from the movie turned out to be back to back hits and also crossed one million views on Youtube India. Not only the songs, even the trailer of the upcoming thriller has gained an overwhelming response. While the rugged avatars of Mimi and Ankush suggests ‘Villain’ to be an intense action flick, the trailer gives a sneak peek into the twists in it. It’s the first poster from the film and everybody was just speechless to see the unbelievable physical transformation in Ankush. Gone are the days of his boy next door image, the actor showed how he prepared for ‘Villain’, how much hard work he had gone through to change his look. Recently Ankush uploaded a stunning picture from the sets of ‘Villain’ and it gave a glimpse of how his character has been portrayed in the film. The picture features a bloodied hand of a man holding a gun out of a car window. Fans are already wondering whether it’s Ankush in the click. This poster surely gives a hint on what to expect from ‘Villain’, especially from Ankush’s character in the film. With a gun in his hand and the determination in his face makes the picture more intriguing. Is the protagonist living a double avatar in his real life? Does he really love Mimi or is everything linked to a bigger scheme involving Rittika Sen? That’s what the film is all about.

Apart from Mimi, Rittika Sen also plays the female lead opposite Ankush. As the recently released trailer suggests, there is definitely a twist in her character. When Rittika asks Mimi to share her love story, Mimi says her love story is like straight from a film and the visuals show the couple, Mimi and Ankush, romancing together. And then Sen finally introduces her fiancé Joy (Ankush) to Mimi at the airport and the latter faces the biggest shock in her life. The gripping trailer also suggests Ankush and Rittika are actually part of a bigger scheme of revenge, in which Mimi has been dragged.

This poster was released just ahead of the launch of a peppy dance number ‘Pyar Ki Dose’ and just like the poster, the refreshing track has been showered with loads of love. Featuring Rittika and Ankush, the poster gives a hint on the romantic side of the action thriller. People are left to wonder who is the love interest of Ankush – Mimi or Rittika? Whatever the answer, one this is sure – we would get to see some amazing dance steps from Ankush as he is quite popular for his dance numbers.

Bholey Baba, the third song from ‘Villain’ marks the debut of famous rapper Badshah in Bengali music. It has already become a favourite for parties and clubs. Produced by JAM8, the ultimate party song is also sung by Nikhita Gandhi. The video sequences of the track show Ankush celebrating his engagement with Rittika where Mimi is also invited. Ankush’s killer moves once again steal the show. Even the director, Baba Yadav who is mainly a choreographer, can be seen in a cameo where he superbly matches his moves with Ankush.
