Anne Hathaway lost roles after Les Miserables Oscar win

After her triumphant win for her role in the musical epic 'Les Misérables', Anne Hathaway revealed in a recent interview that she found herself in the crosshairs of a viral hate campaign dubbed 'Hathahate.' The backlash portrayed her as "toxic," leading her to lose film roles and work opportunities. Despite his best efforts to bag a role after wrapping up work on 'Everything Everywhere All at Once', he said, "What was interesting was, I could not get a single job. Not one callback. Nobody wanted me." After winning his Oscar win, the actor said, "hopefully, when I call my agent tomorrow, he will have a different answer."

Resul Pookutty was not given work in Hindi films

Even the coveted Oscar couldn't shield Resul Pookutty from the harsh realities of the Indian film industry. The acclaimed sound designer opened up about facing a near breakdown as doors slammed shut on him post his Oscar win. In a shocking tweet, he disclosed, "I could have easily shifted to Hollywood but I didn’t and will not. My work in India won me the Oscar, I got nominated six times for MPSE and won too…again all that for the work I have done here. There will always people to run you down but I have far more faith in my people than anybody else (sic)." Despite the adversity, Pookutty remained steadfast in his commitment to working in Indian cinema and showcasing unwavering faith in his craft.

Brendan Fraser had no work post Best Actor win
