Jennifer Holland, the actress and wife of the creator James Gunn, opened up about how little work-life balance she has in her marriage. While she is not upset or judgmental about the superhero universe constantly being on her husband’s mind, the 37-year-old understands the toll it takes to run a marvellous organization.

Ahead of the release of ‘Peacemaker Season 2,’ starring Holland and John Cena, the actress attended the red carpet in New York City. While strutting along the way, Holland disclosed the behind-the-scenes of her household in an interview with People. When asked about the work-life balance, she said, “I've not been, in any way, upset or judgmental with James, but I know that his number one focus right now at this time in his life has been taking on this opportunity that he has at DC with 100% full force.”

Moreover, Holland said that Gunn looks forward to doing everything a fan could hope for while dedicating every ounce of his being. However, a creator cannot impress everyone – and she knows it. Gunn recently wrote and directed ‘Superman,’ starring David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan. While many fans were impressed with the result, some expressed their discontent. “You're always going to disappoint some people, that's just the way it is,” she said.

'He just wants to do the characters justice...'

Giving the insider view of her house, Jennifer said, “He just wants to do the characters justice, and he just wants to give it what it deserves for all of these people, before adding, “who've lived with these characters in these comics that they've been reading [and] the characters that they created in their brains and everything,” adding that Gunn is committed to make the best he can.

Meanwhile, ‘Peacemaker Season 2’ will premiere on August 21 on HBO Max.
