‘Michael’, the much-awaited biopic on the legendary pop star, Michael Jackson, is only weeks away from its release. Ahead of its theatrical release, the film has been making rounds and having pre-release premieres. Recently, the Berlin premiere garnered a massive crowd in attendance.
‘Michael’ premiere in Berlin draws large crowds
The Berlin premiere of ‘Michael’ featured a large turnout, as massive crowds of fans gathered at the event. Even though there were long-running lines in the area, people continued to gather and celebrate the pop legend’s legacy, AFP reported. Around 4000 people out of the countless numbers were able to watch the film two weeks ahead of its release through a contest system.
One of the people who attended the event was Andy Escobar, a 31-year-old aircraft mechanic from the United States, who opened up about his love for Michael Jackson. He also cited as per the report, that his friends and loved ones have nicknamed him ‘MJ’ because they are aware of how big of a fan he is of the late pop icon.
Michael Jackson’s family shows up at the premiere
The film’s premiere, which stars Jaafar Jackson, the singer’s nephew in the lead role, also garnered a lot of attention from celebrities. Not only that, but the singer’s sons also showed up in support of their father’s biopic.
At the event, along with Jaafar, Prince, and Bigi aka Blanket, also walked the red carpet dressed in crisp three-piece suits. His brother, Jermaine Jackson, also attended the event, along with Marlon Jackson and Jackie Jackson. The family wore small gold pins in the shape of a crown to pay their respects to Jackson.
