Celebs mourn Christopher Lee's death

Hollywood legend Christopher Lee, best known for his role as Count Dracula in Hammer Horror films passed away at the age of 93. The Star Wars actor, who died on Sunday (June 7, 2015) at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, was being treated there for respiratory problems and heart failure over the preceding three weeks and turned 93 in hospital, reported Telegraph.co.uk. His wife Lady Lee chose to delay the public announcement of Lee's passing away until she had informed close family members. Before his death, the nonagenarian had signed up for a new film, The 11th, an ensemble drama co-starring Uma Thurman. His demise left several of his fans shocked and Bollywood celebs too took to social media to offer condolences. Here's what they wrote...

Amitabh Bachchan reminisced the time when he met late Hollywood legend Christopher Lee and played a few rounds of golf with him in South Africa. The Piku actor took to his blog in order to recount his experience with the late actor. Bachchan and Lee had met during his stint as a juror for Miss World pageant. "Sir Christopher Lee was on the panel of judges with us, and I remember the wonderful time spent with him during the contest. He was a great company... Played a few rounds of golf with him during the off moments, a proficient golfer with a handsome handicap...," [sic] he wrote. Big B also said he missed the chance of meeting the Lord of the Rings star again when he travelled to India in to shoot for Jinnah biopic, released in 1998. “A few years later I got a note from him that he was on his way to India to film… A chapter in the history of pre-independent India… He was playing Jinnah, the Founder of Pakistan. I was travelling and could not respond to him … Sad that I missed his company and the opportunity to host him here in Mumbai… And today he has left this world… Prayers and peace in condolence!!," [sic] he added.
