Oscars 2015: Interesting moments from the 87th Academy Awards

As Scarlett Johansson got busy posing for the paparazzi, the beautiful actress was caught unaware by John Travolta who planted a kiss on her cheek out of nowhere. Scarlett was looking drop-dead-gorgeous, in the emerald green gown, enough to blow anyone with her charm and poise. But the diva took the sudden compliment sportingly and happily smiled at the lens.

This year, the Oscars were dominated with slit gowns. As the divas put their best foot forward in their designer ensembles, the paparazzi wondered who looked better than the other. Form Dakota Johnson and Rosamund Pike in red to Nicole Kidman and Emma Stone in glitter, the Hollywood divas chose to flaunt their legs in thigh-high slits.

Sisterly bonding was seen everywhere on the Oscars red carpet. Jennifer Aniston lifted Emma Stone high in excitement as the two ladies broke into laughter and greeted each other. While Jennifer looked stunning in an embellished silver gown, Emma Stone looked beautiful in a light green backless number with a slit. The camaraderie of the two ladies proved them to be the best buddies in Hollywood.

Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman were spotted exchanging warm greetings on the Oscars red carpet. 47-year-old Nicole Kidman was at her stunning best in a glittery gown paired with a red belt whereas 38-year-old Oscar nominee Reese Witherspoon was dressed in a simple but classy gown. What caught the eye of the paparazzi was how Nicole bent lower to hug and congratulate Reese on her Oscar nomination for the film Wild.

An overwhelmed Oprah Winfrey shared a high-five with John Legend after he performed 'Glory' from Selma with Common. The emotional performance left the audience with moist eyes, but the act soon ended with an applause as they won the Best Original Song Award for the same. Since the song also won big at the Grammys, it did call for a big high-five.

Though Reese Witherspoon did not win an Oscar for her film Wild, the diva made sure she enjoyed herself at the awards function. Looking piping hot in an icy blue gown, Reese happily went on to click selfies at the event as several guests made an effort to get into the frame.

Singer Solange Knowles surprised the fashion police with her appearance on the Oscar red carpet as she buzzed a red alarm in a blazing red attire. Covered from head to toe in the silk costume, Solange caught the eye of the guests in the Christian Siriano Fall 2015 crepe cape top and pant. The diva looked slightly suffocating in the layered, high-neck attire which did not go down too well with her stylish image.
