Screening of The Show Must Go On at Panaji

Sunaparanta Goa Centre for the Arts organised the screening of The Show Must Go On, a film by Divya & Jall Cowasji. After decades of dormancy, the ageing icons of Parsi Theatre return to the stage, putting aside their walking sticks for one final curtain. Plunging into rehearsals, this documentary chronicles the resilience of a singular cast of characters that want nothing more than to go out with a bang.
Divya Cowasji is a National Award-winning documentary filmmaker and photographer. Her documentary Qissa-e Parsi earned her the National Award in 2015. She also received the Inlaks Shivdasani Scholarship for photography studies at the International Center of Photography in New York. Jall Cowasji is a cinematographer and filmmaker from central India, who developed early interest in video cameras.
