Kolkata grooves to Punjabi pop, Karan Aujla style
Kolkata turned into a pulsating hub of Punjabi pop on Friday as Karan Aujla brought his P-Pop Culture India Tour to the city organised by Team Innovation, delivering a night that was as interactive as it was high on energy. Held on the premises of a water park in the city, the concert drew a massive, fashion-forward crowd, with fans showing up in full concert fits, many women in traditional suits, a detail Karan was quick to notice. Mid-performance, he paused to compliment the girls in suits. From the get-go, Karan had the crowd in sync with his setlist, packed with hits that had everyone dancing along. But beyond the music, it was his engagement with fans that stood out. He took time to read out placards held up by the audience – responding to them on the spot and turning individual fan moments into shared highlights.
A close encounter that fans loved
In one of the most talked-about moments of the night, Karan stepped off the main stage and moved right into the middle of the crowd, performing up close and giving fans across sections a chance to experience the performance from just a few feet away. The gesture sent the audience into a frenzy, blurring the line between performer and crowd and amplifying the already electric atmosphere.
Set list for the evening:
> Tauba Tauba
> For A Reason
>Mexico Koka
> Boyfriend
