City musicians come together for a gaaner adda
Atoot Bandhan, a musical evening, which was more of a gaaner adda took place recently to celebrate the World Music Day at Abanindranath Gallery, ICCR. It was a star-studded evening meant for music buffs of the city. The gala musical evening became a meet and greet opportunity for the several musicians who had gathered to be a part of the show. It celebrated the bondage that music industry has in real life.

Artistes like Usha Uthup, Debajyoti Mishra, Debjit Roy, Swapan Basu, Deeparati Choudhury, Raghav Chatterjee, Sidhu, Monomoy Bhattacharya, Abhijit Burman Pata, Miss Jojo, Timir Biswas, Sujoy Bhowmik, Parnava Banerjee, Dipannita Acharya, Ujjawini Mukherjee, Akash Bhattacharya, Deepraj Choudhury and Shimli Basu graced the occasion.
Raghab Chatterjee rendered Jabe Ki Mon, Usha Uthup, Sidhu and Miss Jojo put up an entertaining performance as they rendered the international version of the Hindi tunes like the Mexican song Besame Mucho (Yeh Shama Shama Hai Yeh Pyar Ka), When I Miss The Train I Want (Jab Koi Baat Bigad Jaye) and African number Malaika (Gawah Hai Chand Tare Gawah Hai) besides Senorita and Fever. Sidhu and Pata joined on Noyar Nauka Aami from the film Neel Nirjane, Akash Bhattacharya sang Mohiner Ghoraguli song Prithibita Naki Chhoto Hote Hote, Shimli Basu performed a filmi song O Mor Dada Re. Band Beat Blasters offered an instrumental piece on Tagore's tune Eso Shyamal Sundaro and Parnava Banerjee sang Ami Banglay Gaan Gai.
