City players hit the bullseye

Summer is the time when most like to stay indoors and indulge in long hours of adda with friends and
family or binge watch movies. But how about you add to the fun with board games like ludo, chess, Chinese checker and many more? Sounds exciting, right? In keeping with the idea, a city-based café introduced dart gaming facilities on Saturday.

The café also has several board and mind games options for the visitors.The event was attended by Prasanta Saha, secretary general of All India Darts Association, local and national level dart players and several kids from a city-based NGO. Said Anindita Das, the initiator of the event, “Dart, as a game has been mostly limited to the clubs and institutions of Kolkata, and is available only to their members. This is the first time that the game will be available in a cafe that is accessible to all. It is a game that requires mental agility and precision.”

Dart enthusiasts from the city were present at the do and the inauguration was followed by a mixed doubles exhibition match between the top players of the city. The kids from the NGO too tried their hands at the game. The event drew to a close with everyone digging into sandwiches and slurping yummy shakes.
