Shooting in Kutch, according to director Hussain Bloch, is not an easy task. While there are lot of reasons why shooting a particular scene in Kutch is a challenge to filmmakers, selecting of locales and other decisions also makes a lot of difference, according to the director. The most difficult part of shooting in Kutch was choreographing fight sequences without cables, according to Bloch.
Says the director, One of the fight sequences took us 4 days for us to film mainly because of the use of camels which were playing an important part of this action sequence, says Bloch who adds, Also, there were no cables used in this fight sequence which is a unique to the film because most Gujarati films use cables. That send the characters flying in the air. The action choreographed by Andilip Pathan, who is considered the top action master of Gujarati films, was a challenge for him as this was his first fight scene without cables being used after a gap of 5 years.
The whole purpose of the exercise according to the director is to give a layer of real touch to the entire scene. We wanted to make the fight scene look as real and as believable as possible, says Bloch.
The film stars
Vikram Thakor and
Mamta Soni as the lead couple and marks the debuts of Vasim Bloch and Marjina Diwan.
