‘Hindi Medium’ box-office collection: Irrfan Khan's film inches towards 60-crore mark

'Hindi Medium', starring Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar, has maintained a strong foothold at the domestic box-office. Although the film started out slow, it picked up its pace in the second week, all thanks to the good word of mouth it generated.
Running in its fourth week, 'Hindi Medium' has raked in an estimated total of Rs 56.90 crore at the box-office. It earned Rs 23.25 crore in the first week followed by Rs 18.23 crore in its second week, Rs 11.67 crore in its third week and Rs 3.75 crore in its fourth week.
'Hindi Medium' not only explores the Hindi-versus-English divide but also conveys the message to eradicate the tendency to pitch one against the other.
