'Ikkis' box office collection Day 4: Agastya Nanda and Dharmendra's war drama clocks Rs 20 crore on debut weekend; fails to beat 'Dhurandhar'

Agastya Nanda's big screen debut, 'Ikkis', was released in theaters on January 1, 2026. The makers had expressed that the film deserved a solo release, and hence, they changed the date from December 25, 2025, to the first day of the new year. According to the Sacnilk report, Agastya Nanda's war film opened to Rs 7 crore at the theaters. Now, the film has earned Rs 5 crore at the box office on the fourth day (1st Sunday) since its release. With that, the total earnings of the movie in India stand at Rs 20.15 crore.

Though the box office score is not so big, it was better than the Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday starrer 'Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri'. The rom-com collected Rs 0.75 crore on its day 11 (2nd Sunday). The total collection is now Rs 32.05 crore.

'Ikkis' vs 'Dhurandhar'

While Sriram Raghavan might have said that he would never make a film like 'Dhurandhar', the same movie has been raking in big numbers at the box office even on its 31st day. The Ranveer Singh-led espionage thriller has earned Rs 12.75 crore on day 31 (5th Sunday) since its release in theaters on December 5, 2025. The total collection of the film in India is Rs 772.25 crore.

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the film is not only the theatrical debut of Amitabh Bachchan's grandson, Agastya Nanda, but also the last screen appearance of the late legendary actor, Dharmendra. The film also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Simar Bhatia, Sikander Kher, and Vivaan Shah.

The movie is about Indian Army Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, who laid down his life for the country during the India-Pakistan War of 1971. He was posthumously honored with the Paramvir Chakra Award, the highest level of gallantry recognition of the nation.
