Amid ‘Border 2’ song trolling, Varun Dhawan keeps his cool and greets security guard with folded hands during promotions
Varun Dhawan appears unfazed by the online criticism surrounding his performance in the ‘Border 2’ track ‘Ghar Kab Aaoge’. Amid the chatter, the actor was recently spotted in Mumbai while promoting the very film at the centre of the debate. Calm and composed, Varun posed for the paparazzi and even folded his hands politely when a security guard requested a photo with him. The actor briefly interacted with the guard before moving ahead with his media commitments.
Despite the trolling, Varun Dhawan continues his promotional duties for ‘Border 2’ without letting the noise distract him. During his appearance, he ensured fans got their pictures and displayed his trademark humility. The moment that stood out was when the actor respectfully acknowledged a security personnel’s request for a photograph, engaging in a short conversation before posing and exiting the venue.

Social media users have voiced their disapproval of Varun for representing a lack of emotional intensity in the "Ghar Kab Aaoge" song from Border 2, with a number of users noting that they did not believe that Varun's performance reflected the true emotional heaviness of the song. This has led to some debate amongst users regarding how someone's performance can be accurately represented when only one song's performance is available for viewing, and even more so without the background of the entire film to accompany it.
Directed by Anurag Singh, ‘Border 2’ features Varun Dhawan alongside Sunny Deol, Ahan Shetty and Diljit Dosanjh. The film also stars Mona Singh, Anya Singh, Sonam Bajwa and Medha Rana in pivotal roles. The war drama is slated to hit theatres on January 23, 2026.
Why is Varun Dhawan facing criticism over ‘Ghar Kab Aaoge’?
While many social media users are making negative comments about the lack of intensity in Varun's performance with the song "Ghar Kab Aaoge," some of those users were voicing that they felt Varun's facial expressions did not portray what they thought of the level of emotion conveyed with the song. Therefore, this has prompted dialogue amongst social media members, regarding whether or not there is a basis for judging a person's performance as an actor based on only one song, without having seen the entirety of the motion picture context.See More: 'Border 2' trailer out: Sunny Deol roars 'hai wo jurrattt?' into the battlefield to defend India with Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty
