Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan recently invited fans into the artistic and unconventional Mumbai residence of actor
Aparshakti Khurana and his wife, Aakriti Khurana. In a vlog released on recently, Farah Khan explored the couple's home, which she famously dubbed a "mix of
Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Om Shanti Om." The tour, featuring Farah's signature wit and her personal cook, Dilip, showcased a space that defies traditional luxury in favor of a "beautifully messy," vintage-filmy aesthetic. Aparshakti Khurana transitioned from being an RJ to starring in films with notable performances in 'Dangal', 'Stree', 'Pati Patni Aur Woh', and 'Stree 2', along with the series 'Jubilee'. He is also the younger brother of
Ayushmann Khurrana.
Aparshakti Khurana’s home - Vintage aesthetic with a grand touch
The vlog began with a detailed walkthrough of the interiors. Farah immediately noticed the artistic elements. These features define the overall mood of the home. One standout detail was a large blue chandelier in the living room. It added a dramatic visual impact. The piece echoed the opulence seen in 'Om Shanti Om'. The interiors followed a vintage theme. They carried a slightly worn, textured look. Walls and ceilings were left unpainted on purpose. Farah pointed out that this unfinished style is trending. It adds character and depth to modern homes.
Burnt door that caught Farah Khan's attention
As the tour continued the focus shifted to the main entrance. The door stood out due to its unusual finish. Aparshakti explained the idea behind it, saying, “This wooden door was burnt after painting it, the fire gave it the aesthetic.” Moving further inside, the couple revealed a hallway filled with framed childhood photographs. The vlog also featured their makeup room. A multipurpose space was shown as well. Aparshakti uses it for reading, workouts, and getting ready.
Farah Khan recalls first meeting
During the visit, Farah Khan shared a memory from her early interaction with Aparshakti. She spoke about meeting him before his film career began. She said, “I went to promote Om Shanti Om with Deepika Padukone on a radio channel, that’s when I met him for the first time. When he was about to come in films, I used to think about how an RJ will venture into acting, but he has done so well.”
The vlog ended on a warm note. Farah, Aparshakti, and Aakriti sat together for a meal. The moment felt relaxed and genuine. Farah also presented gifts to the couple.
On the work front, Aparshakti Khurana was seen in 'Stree 2', 'Berlin' and 'CTRL'. He was also seen in 'Jab Khuli Kitaab'
