‘Bahut jhooth bol bol ke hum Goa bahut baar aaye hain’
Dalljiet Kaur was in North Goa recently, where she came to celebrate her friend’s bachelorette party. While she spent time with her friends, she also got something important done — a cover-up tattoo. In a candid chat with us, the Kulvaddhu actress spoke about her healing journey in Goa.
For Dalljiet, Goa is closely tied to her growing-up years. “I studied in Pune and every time we planned on bunking college, my first destination was Goa — always. Bahut jhooth bol bol ke hum Goa bahut baar aaye hain,” she says, recalling those carefree days. Reflecting on how the destination has evolved, she says, “It used to feel more peaceful. Even packed places brought a sense of calm. Now it feels more crowded, perhaps because of social media.”
Goa continues to be her sanctuary. “Every time I’ve come here feeling a little broken or in need of healing, Goa has embraced me. It has been magical,” she shares. She prefers escaping to quieter corners — secluded beaches and offbeat cafés. “I enjoy sitting with a coffee or a drink, exploring new places. It’s amazing how Goa always offers something new. I’m still not done with it,” she says.

A shift beyond television
While television gave her identity and recognition, she admits her priorities are changing. “Television is my home and I love it, but it doesn’t excite me anymore,” says Dalljiet, who has been part of shows like Kulvaddhu, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?, Kaala Teeka and Bigg Boss 13. She is now exploring entrepreneurship, with plans to launch ventures in jewellery and the food industry. “I’m hoping for something exciting, but I also want to enjoy life now,” says Dalljiet, who has had her share of personal struggles following two separations. However, these experiences have only helped shape her personality, she says. “I truly believe I have become a better version of myself,” she concludes.Get the latest entertainment updates from the Times of India, along with the latest Hindi movies, upcoming Hindi movies in 2026 , and Telugu movies.”
