How come you have chosen to be the face of an information hotline like Just Dial?
I was shooting recently for Just Dial and it’s my first association with a company that operates in a modern digital space. When I choose to associate with a brand, I must relate to what it stands for.

This unique service stands out and I am quite amazed by their efficient and speedy results.
People always wonder whether celebrities use the products they endorse...
I’ve used their voice service a couple of times in the past. I also checked out their web and WAP site and the presentation is quite impressive. The accurate search logic almost bowls you over. There’s a feature that I loved on their mobile version called Near Me. It locates your position and offers results that are geographically closest to you. I really appreciate the technology and the idea behind it. Besides, the depth of Just Dial’s categories astonishes me. While I was reading the script for the ad, I realised that one could actually plan an entire wedding or any such event with their help. They practically have everything!

Do you think that a local search engine is a necessity?
Absolutely. Think about it: daily situations demand that we depend on so many people, be it a plumber, electrician or a doctor during an emergency, and you may not always have help at hand. And the best part is their numbers — be it 69999999 or 08888888888 — are so easy to remember that you never miss out on calling upon them during times of need. Search is a quintessential part of our lives and it feels good to be associated with a service that is not just concerned about monetary gains, but also has a humanitarian side to it.
So, what’s it like shooting for ad films versus movies?
The time crunch is the most essential difference. The challenge is communicating an idea within mere seconds, thus each element like the backdrop, the script, etc., matters a lot.
