Bollywood calling for Alokananda

Filmmaker Buddhadeb Dasgupta’s daughter Alokananda is all set to foray into Bollywood. She will be composing the music for Ajay Bahl’s upcoming flick B.A. Pass starring Shilpa Shukla, Deepti Naval and Rajesh Sharma among others.
Says Alokananda, “Ajay approached me after he heard my compositions in the National Award winning Marathi film Shala. The flavour of the music in B.A.Pass is very different from what I’ve done before. There’s a song, Shab, rendered by Shilpa Rao where I’ve used some electronic elements. The film is expected to release sometime in July. It’s a very important project for me.”
On a different note, the composer adds, “I’m working with Baba in Anwar Ka Ajab Kissa. Also, working with sound designer Resul Pookutty on this film has been a great experience.”
