'Boong' win at BAFTA 2026: Popular butter brand gives special touch to the Manipuri film

The film, narrates a heartfelt story of family, longing and hope. It revolves around a young boy named Boong, played by Gugun Kipgen, who dreams of bringing his broken family back together. Raised by his single mother Mandakini, portrayed by Bala Hijam Ningthoujam, he embarks on an emotional journey with his best friend to search for his missing father. Through its simple yet powerful narrative, the film beautifully captures childhood innocence, deep emotions, and the unbreakable bond between a mother and her son.
