Celebs stranded in UAE

Rising tensions in parts of West Asia have caused disruptions in international flight routes, leaving many travellers stranded across several Gulf cities. Among those affected are a number of Indian film personalities currently in the United Arab Emirates. Actors including Ajith Kumar, Sonal Chauhan, Esha Gupta, Vishnu Manchu, Lara Dutta and Nargis Fakhri have shared updates to assure fans that they are safe despite the situation.

Ajith Kumar

Tamil star Ajith Kumar is currently in Dubai after sudden airspace restrictions impacted travel across the region. The actor had reportedly been travelling between Saudi Arabia and Dubai for his professional racing engagements when the flight suspensions took effect. Following concern among fans, his manager clarified that the actor is safe and staying in Dubai until normal flight operations resume. The update brought relief to fans who had been closely monitoring developments online.

Sonal Chauhan

Actor Sonal Chauhan also shared a message after reports emerged that several travellers were unable to depart from the UAE. Known for films such as ‘Adipurush’, she responded to concerned followers checking on her well-being. She wrote, “To everyone messaging me and checking up on me, thank you, and I'm sorry for not being able to reply. Your concern really means a lot. I am safe, and I assure you, the authorities are doing their best to keep everyone safe. There's nothing to panic about.”

Esha Gupta

Actor Esha Gupta, who is currently in Abu Dhabi, also acknowledged the tense atmosphere in the region while assuring fans that she is safe. She shared a note on Instagram responding to the many messages she received. Her message read, “To everyone checking in and messaging, I'm sorry for not replying. We are ok; we are safe! Times are scary, very tough. God is there to protect us. We trust the @modgovae is doing the best in protecting and interception.”

Vishnu Manchu

Telugu actor Vishnu Manchu, who was visiting family in Dubai, posted an emotional update after witnessing missile interceptions in the night sky. The actor described the moment as deeply unsettling for his family. He wrote, “In Dubai visiting family tonight. Missiles are visible in the sky. The loud interceptions shook our home and frightened little Ayra. Praying for peace. No child anywhere should grow up hearing the sound of war above their roof.”

Lara Dutta

Actor Lara Dutta also revealed that she is currently in Dubai with her daughter Saira amid the ongoing unrest. She mentioned that her husband Mahesh Bhupathi is away for work and not with them at the moment. The actor recalled a frightening moment when she suddenly heard explosions while she was in the middle of a shoot. According to her, missiles were being intercepted in the sky, which added to the tense environment around them.

Nargis Fakhri

Actor Nargis Fakhri, known for her work in ‘Rockstar’, also shared a candid update about how the situation has affected her mentally. The actor, who reportedly lives in Dubai with her husband Tony Beig, said she has been struggling to sleep because of the uncertainty. In an Instagram Story, she wrote, “Its been a crazy two days.” In another update she added, “No matter what, this feeling of anxiety & dread lingers becuz you just don't know what's gona happen next. Can't even get to sleep, your brain is on high alert. It's so late and I'm wide awake (sic).”
