The OTT release of 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' has brought with it fresh fan theories, easter eggs and a lot more buzz about the rumoured next chapter in the Aditya Dhar-directed spy franchise. Shortly after the sequel's digital debut, viewers spotted what they believe are easter eggs leading straight to 'Dhurandhar 3'.

Soon after the premiere, screenshots from the film began circulating widely online, with fans sharing an immage of the protagonist Jaskirat's Indian passport bearing the name “Shaurya Bharadwaj.” Netizens quickly linked the detail to speculation surrounding a potential continuation of the franchise, with the spy taking on a new identity.


Fans spot easter eggs in 'Dhurandhar 2'

Another fan spotted another detail in the film and sharing the screenshots online, asked, “Can anyone confirm this? Is this possible teaser of Dhurandhar 3? In Dhurandhar 2, tanker says ‘Return Sep 2026’ and when Jamali hands over Indian passport to Jaskirat, it has D3/Dhurandhar 3 written on it.”

Who is Shaurya Bharadwaj?

The theory has also sparked discussion around Grandmaster Shifuji Shaurya Bharadwaj, whose is believed to be the inspiration behind the possible third film. According to his IMDB profile, Bharadwaj, who also featured in the Bollywood film 'Baaghi', is the inventor of the "Commandos Mitti System," which is recognised as the world's most modern counter-terrorism training system. He founded Mission Prahar and GSSB Shadow Ops Bharat, one of the leading cybersecurity agencies globally as of 2024. He also serves as a guru for commando trainers, an action designer and choreographer for films, a motivational speaker, an actor, a poet, and a life coach for celebrities.


'Dhurandhar 3' on the cards?

While the makers have not officially confirmed any details about a third film, co-producer Jyoti Deshpande recently hinted that the franchise may not be over yet. “We’re not done with Dhurandhar yet,” Deshpande said in a recent interaction, teasing that audiences could expect a major surprise by the end of 2026.

'Dhurandhar 2' also stars Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi and Gaurav Gera in key roles.

'Dhurandhar' box office success

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy action thriller has continued its dominant box office run, reportedly crossing the Rs 3100 crore mark worldwide.

Following its success in India and overseas streaming markets, 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' is now scheduled for a theatrical release in Japan on July 10.
