The historic drama film 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior,' starring Ajay Devgn marked its 6th anniversary on January 10. On this special occasion, Ajay, who played Tanhaji, shared a post on his Instagram handle and celebrated the film’s anniversary. The actor also thanked the audiences for the love they showered on the film. Meanwhile, one line from his message caught his ardent lovers attention and sparked speculation that he might be hinting at a possible sequel to the 2020 hit.
Ajay goes nostalgic and shared a motion poster of the film on his social platform which reads, “गड आला पण सिंह गेला”but the story isn’t over yet... (“The fort is won, but the lion is dead.”) With this post, several ardent lovers gets hint towards the film sequel, making it the first indirect sign that the story of the 17th-century warrior could continue. In Tanhaji, Ajay Devgn played Subhedar Tanaji Malusare, with Kajol essaying the role of Savitri Bai, while Saif Ali Khan appeared as the antagonist Udaybhan Singh Rathore.

The film also showcases the fight for the Kondhana fort which was under the control of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb and guarded by the formidable Udaybhan Singh Rathore.'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior' received strong critical acclaim and won several awards at the 68th National Film Awards, including Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, Best Actor for Ajay Devgn, and Best Costume Design. The film was directed by Om Raut and also starred Kajol in the lead roles.
