On this special occasion, Ajay, who played Tanhaji, shared a post on his Instagram handle and celebrated the film’s anniversary. The actor also thanked the audiences for the love they showered on the film. Meanwhile, one line from his message caught his ardent lovers attention and sparked speculation that he might be hinting at a possible sequel to the 2020 hit.Ajay goes nostalgic and shared a motion poster of the film on his social platform which reads, “गड आला पण सिंह गेला”but the story isn’t over yet... (“The fort is won, but the lion is dead.”) With this post, several ardent lovers gets hint towards the film sequel, making it the first indirect sign that the story of the 17th-century warrior could continue. In Tanhaji, Ajay Devgn played Subhedar Tanaji Malusare, with Kajol essaying the role of Savitri Bai, while Saif Ali Khan appeared as the antagonist Udaybhan Singh Rathore.This historic period gave the glimpse of the inspiring storyline from 17th century's Tanaji Malusare, the fearless Subhedar in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Maratha army.
