Gadar 2-OMG 2, Barbie-Oppenheimer, Animal-Sam Bahadur: Biggest upcoming box office clashes

Makers of big movies always look for a unique day to release their projects and avoid clashing with other films at the box office. However, quite often movies release on the same date or around the same time. While sometimes both the films manage to garner success, many times it leads to an intense battle to reign supreme at the box office. With the release date of several films being announced, here's taking a look at films that are all set to lock horns at the box office.

'Tejas' vs 'Ganapath Part 1'

Kangana Ranaut recently announced the release date of her upcoming film, 'Tejas' which is all set to hit the theatres in Dussehra this year. The film will be clashing with Tiger Shroff starrer 'Ganapath Part 1'. 'Tejas' was supposed to release last year on the occasion of Dussehra, but it was delayed for multiple reasons, from VFX work to a good date in the calendar. Meanwhile, the makers of 'Ganapath - Part 1' had long ago booked Dussehra for its release and it will be interesting to see if either of them decides to back out.

'Gadar 2' vs 'OMG 2'

Anil Sharma's 'Gadar 2', starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, is all set to release on August 11. The film was supposed to lock horns with two other films, the Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Animal' and Akshay Kumar starrer 'OMG 2'. However, the makers of 'Animal' decided to postpone the release of the film to December. But the Akshay Kumar starrer will still be clashing with the Sunny Deol starrer at the box office. It would be interesting to see which film the audience will pick over the other.

'Animal' vs 'Sam Bahadur' vs 'Fukrey 3'

The makers of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Animal' averted a clash with Sunny Deol starrer 'Gadar 2' and Akshay Kumar starrer 'OMG 2' on August 11. However, the new release date is not a less crowded day. December 1 this year marks the release date of two other films along with 'Animal', 'Sam Bahadur' starring Vicky Kaushal and 'Fukrey 3' starring Richa Chadha, Pulkit Samrat, Pankaj Tripathi, Varun Sharma and others.

5/6

'Barbie' vs 'Oppenheimer'

Joining the list of films all set to fight it out at the box office are also 'Barbie' and 'Oppenheimer'. While one is a fantasy movie based on the world's best-selling fashion dolls, the other is about the man who made the world's first atomic bomb. Both the films are all set to hit the theatres on July 21. There’s space for both of them in the theatres and an audience which admires both. So it would be really interesting to see which film receives more love from the audience.

'Chandu Champion' vs 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan'

After his latest release, 'Satyaprem Ki Katha', Kartik Aaryan is all set to clash with Akshay Kumar starrer 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' at the box office next year with his upcoming film, 'Chandu Champion'. The Ali Abbas Zafar directorial also stars Tiger Shroff in the lead role. Meanwhile, 'Chandu Champion' marks Kartik's first film with Kabir Khan. Makers of both the films have locked Eid al-Adha aka June 14, 2024 for the release of their films.
