Lara Dutta pens an emotional note for Deanne Panday after success of Ahaan Panday's debut film Saiyaara: 'He is going to be a star, but this is...'

Lara Dutta has shared a heartfelt tribute to her longtime friend Deanne Panday, celebrating the success of Deanne’s son Ahaan Panday’s debut film Saiyaara. Reflecting on their 25-year friendship and the journey of watching Ahaan grow up, Lara’s emotional message has touched fans and celebrities alike.

A walk down memory lane

On Sunday, Lara shared her feelings on Instagram by posting a series of old photos with Deanne and Ahaan, remembering the journey they have shared over the years.

She wrote, 'This post is for my friend @deannepanday….. I went to watch her son Ahaans movie yesterday ….. Have known Ahaan since he was a toddler….. and it’s been a pleasure to watch him grow into the thoughtful, well brought up, charming boy he is….. Ahaan was going to be a ��, there was no doubt…… but this is for his Mum……..'

The actress added, 'DP (as I call her) has been more than a friend for over 25 years….. she was there when I first moved to Mumbai as a teenager and knew no one, and she and her family made me feel like I had friends who would look out for me…. She was there when I won Miss India and Miss Universe , and kept me grounded and focused on my fitness and mental well being….. she’s been there through relationships and breakups and my wedding and the birth of my daughter, and more recently the loss of a parent…… she’s just been there, quietly, solidly…. With compassion and bravery and love…..'



'I’ve seen her work tirelessly for her family and her friends despite being mentally and physically exhausted herself….. she’s shows up EVERY time for the people she loves…. Quietly slipping in and taking care of all that needs to be done, and has never asked for anything in return…..,' she continued.

Lara also wrote, 'She loves her kids Alanna and Ahaan more than anything in the world ( well maybe now second to River, her grandson ��), and has been a supermom and grandma to make all their dreams come true!!'



'My darling DP….. I am so thrilled and proud of what your kids have accomplished and I know how hard you’ve worked and how hard you’ve prayed for their well being and success….. I hope all the many achievements both your wonderful kids will surely accomplish will be a glowing testimony to your good karma and the incredible person you are!', she concluded.
