‘Our honeymoon will have to wait': Newlyweds Prakriti Kakar and Vinay Anand plan a mini-moon
Talking to Hindustan Times about this new chapter Prakriti says, “I don’t think much has changed. Of course there are added responsibilities but I think it’s going to be such a beautiful and fun phase… The wedding was nothing less than living a dream,” she says. For her marriage feels warm and joyful and not overwhelming. She is slowly settling into the feeling of being married and enjoying every moment of it.
Red for reception, pink for the bride
After the wedding the couple hosted multiple celebrations. They had a celebration in Delhi which was followed by a wedding reception in Mumbai. Talking about the Mumbai reception Prakriti shares how special it felt for her. “Last night we had our wedding reception in Mumbai, where I got to be the bride in red. I had reserved red for the reception consciously. I’m a Mrs now a newly married wifey, and the feeling is slowly sinking in,” she said in the interview.
For her wedding day Prakriti chose pink instead of the traditional red. She explains why it mattered to her. “I chose to be a pink bride instead of a typical red bride as pink is my favourite colour. I wanted to be true to myself. Even my followers have loved my bridal look. It feels wholesome seeing that I got to live it the way I wanted to.”
A cosy celebration with family at heart
She also speaks about why they chose to keep the wedding intimate. “Vinay and I both value time spent with our family the most. A wedding is not just two people coming together but also the families enjoying each other’s company. I wanted to live in the moment and enjoy with both our families. There was no rush, no stress. It was just beautiful,” she says. The focus was love, comfort, and togetherness, not show or pressure.Honeymoon on hold, celebrations continue
While the wedding joy is still fresh the honeymoon will have to wait. Prakriti has shared that they will push their honeymoon plans by a few months. For now the couple is planning a small mini-moon. Work and commitments have made it hard to travel right away but they are in no hurry.
After the wedding the newlyweds hosted a reception in Mumbai on January 28 for friends from the industry. The evening saw familiar faces like Vishal Dadlani, Akasa Singh, Aaliyah Kashyap, and Elnaaz Norouzi.
