Anees Bazmee’s films over the years. The writer and filmmaker who has had a prolific, 43-year long career in the film industry with a multitude of record-breaking successes celebrated his 59th birthday on November 1st this year.
Making his directorial debut with the film Hulchul in 1995, Bazmee established himself as a successful filmmaker.
He gained a lot of recognition for the
Ajay Devgn and Kajol-starrer Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha in the late ‘90s. After that, he showed his versatility through movies like the crime thriller Deewangee and comedies like No Entry, Welcome, Singh Is King and Ready among many others, he came to be renowned as one of the most profitable directors in the industry.
In his career spanning over four decades, he has written and directed more than 50 films.
The fact that the films have a feel-good, happy, fun and familial vibe to them is a huge plus for Indian audiences making Anees Bazmee a household name with superhit movies in his filmography.
Known for churning out commercial hits, the director humbly replies, “Films make money only when people get entertained. If they watch my films again and again, it means there is a repeat value to it. Their love for my films makes me a good director.”
