Ranbir Kapoor-Rajkumar Hirani’s next film put on hold; director to begin Aamir Khan’s Dadasaheb Phalke biopic first
Ranbir Kapoor and director Rajkumar Hirani, who last worked together in the blockbuster biopic 'Sanju', were all set to reunite for another ambitious project. Reports had suggested that the duo would team up for a film based on the life of an athlete. However, the latest update suggests that the project has been pushed back to 2027, as Hirani is now planning to begin work on his next film, a biopic on Dadasaheb Phalke featuring Aamir Khan.
According to the report, Aamir has already started his preparations for the film and is working on getting into the look of the character. The source revealed, "He’s growing out his look and will dive straight into workshops in December. This is the first time he’s playing a real-life pioneer of cinema, and Hirani wants to give it the grandeur it deserves."
The report further mentioned, "Post that, depending on which script is ready, he will take a call between Dhoom 4 and Animal Park, as they are both in advanced development." This confirms that Ranbir’s next few years are fully booked with back-to-back high-profile projects.
