Ahead of its theatrical release, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge got a star-studded screening in Mumbai, with several Bollywood celebrities marking their presence. The much-awaited film, headlined by
Ranveer Singh, is set to hit cinemas this Thursday.
Among the early arrivals was
Arjun Rampal, who plays Major Iqbal in the film. The actor was seen with his partner Gabriella Demetriades, and the couple happily posed for the paparazzi.
Preity Zinta and Celina Jaitly also made a joint appearance, drawing attention with their warm camaraderie.
Other attendees included Anjini Dhawan, Anil Sharma, Mukesh Chhabra, Anand Pandit, and Shilpa Shetty, who arrived with her sister Shamita Shetty and their mother Sunanda Shetty.
While exiting the screening, Shamita Shetty briefly interacted with the paparazzi and shared her first reaction. Calling the film “superb,” the actress gave a positive early verdict on the much-anticipated sequel.
Her quick review adds to the growing buzz surrounding the film.
First reviews hail it as ‘masterpiece’, ‘blockbuster loading’
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film is already being hailed as a potential blockbuster. Early reviews have been largely positive, with strong word-of-mouth building ahead of release.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh called it a “MASTERPIECE,” rating it 4.5 stars, while Sumit Kadel described it as a “game-changing, industry-shaking phenomenon,” also awarding 4.5 stars.
Audience reactions on social media have been equally enthusiastic, with many predicting that the film could cross the Rs 1000 crore mark at the Indian box office.
Interestingly, the glowing response comes despite several hiccups during the rollout. Paid previews in multiple regions were delayed, while Kannada and Malayalam dubbed premieres were cancelled due to technical issues.
