In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Regena Cassandrra expressed that it took some time for her to settle down in the Hindi film industry. Sharing her experience, she said, "I was a South Indian actress. Compared to most South Indians, my Hindi is way better. I can read, write, and speak Hindi, and all the work I have done to date in the language is in my own voice."

The actress expressed that she has lent her own voice to the projects she has done, and it's not dubbed. Cassandrra added that she has always tried to live up to the role she was given.

At the same time, Regena also stated that there are some incidents that made her feel not at home. She said, "A lot of people treated me in a derogatory manner, not just with words, but with actions. It's sort of a derogatory outlook towards me."

The actress didn't stop there, as further revealed, "And, I mean, anyone would be able to tell that I was being put down in a certain way. I did feel it."

Regena expressed that she did have "some inhibitions in the North." However, the actress also acknowledged the fact that "it's not always the case, right?"
