The sudden demise of filmmaker Shahrukh Mirza has left a void not only in the lives of his wife Teresa Mirza and sons Rehan and Farhan, but also in the entire film industry. A great filmmaker that he was, Mirza excelled not just in scriptwriting, but also as a producer.
1x1 polls
He has written remarkable films like Kasme Vaade, Dhanvan, Aapke Deewane and who can forget the superhit Love Story.
He produced films like Yaara Dildara, Mashooq, Salami which was the first ever Indian film to enter the International Film Festival and the last one being Jaana, Come Fall in Love.
He was supposed to narrate a script to Mahesh Bhatt on the same day that he expired, says an emotional Rehan. A man of principles, Mirza always advised his son to be loyal to those who stood by him in his difficult times.
The Bhatts gave me a break when I needed it. And now after my dad’s death, it was the Bhatts as well as Mohit Suri who stood by me, says Rehan, who had to resume shooting just two days after his father’s death. I’m my father’s son, hardworking and my dad knew that. I will always follow in his footsteps, says Rehan, who has decided to realise every dream that his father ever wanted to accomplish.
