Legendary Hollywood icon Robert De Niro, who was recently honoured with the prestigious honorary Palme d'Or for Lifetime Achievement at the Cannes Film Festival, reunited with renowned Bollywood actor Anupam Kher in the picturesque city of Cannes. The two had previously shared screen space in the Oscar-nominated 2012 film Silver Linings Playbook.

Anupam Kher, who is at Cannes for the world premiere of his second directorial venture Tanvi The Great, took a moment to reconnect with his longtime friend Robert De Niro. The two shared a warm reunion during the festival. Anupam posted a heartwarming video on Instagram capturing the moment — the veteran actors embraced, and De Niro even gave him a friendly kiss, reflecting their close bond.



Anupam’s Emotional Note
Anupam also posted a long note and titled it 'In Cannes: Best hug from the greatest actor of all times'. Anupam wrote, "It was the most amazing feeling to meet my friend #RobertDeNiro, his graceful wife #Tiffany and their beautiful daughter #Jia in #Cannes! Their love and affection touched me deeply. Congratulated him for getting the most prestigious award Palme d’Or award at the opening of #CannesFilmFestival."



Anupam also shared that he introduced Hollywood legend Robert De Niro to Tanvi The Great's lead actress Shubhangi and other key members of the film's crew. It was a proud moment for the team as they met the iconic actor during their time at the Cannes Film Festival.
