Ibrahim
Ali Khan has finally made his silver screen debut with 'Sarzameen.' Celebrating this milestone is his family with heartfelt posts on social media platforms. The movie also features
Prithviraj Sukumaran and Kajol, and marks the directorial debut of Kayoze Irani. Beyond the film itself, the proud reactions from Ibrahim's loved ones have naturally garnered significant attention.
Sara Ali Khan says she's 'So Proud'
Sara Ali Khan, Ibrahim’s elder sister, took to her social media handle to share her love and pride. The actress posted a picture from the special screening of 'Sarzameen' held on July 24 in Mumbai. Both siblings were seen twinning in stylish black outfits. Sara wrote, “So proud,” letting the moment speak for itself.
Saba Pataudi pens emotional note - So proud of you already
Ibrahim’s aunt, Saba Pataudi, went a step further and shared a childhood photo of Ibrahim, calling him a good man—like her father, the late cricketer
Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. In her message, Saba poured her heart out, expressing regret for not being able to attend the premiere but assuring her presence in spirit. “So proud of you already and always will be. Love you, my nephew,” she wrote.
Our verdict
As the film is out on OTT, take a look at our official ETimes review which read, "Prithviraj Sukumaran delivers a strong performance as a man torn between duty and family. Kajol brings depth to her role as the mother and handles her character arc with finesse. Ibrahim Ali Khan shows promise, especially in scenes of vulnerability and angst, but his characterisation leaves much to be desired. Sarzameen had all the ingredients for a compelling emotional thriller—an evocative backdrop, a promising premise, and a capable cast. However, a superficial narrative and weak execution turn it into a missed opportunity. Despite a few well-acted moments, the film fails to leave a lasting impact. It’s a middling watch at best, and one that can easily be skipped."
