Saif Ali Khan was reportedly stabbed six times during a burglary attempt at his Bandra residence in Mumbai late Wednesday night. According to police reports, an unidentified intruder broke into the actor’s home around 2:30 am and confronted a household staff member. When Saif intervened to diffuse the situation, the intruder attacked him, inflicting six injuries, two of which were severe, with one dangerously close to his spine.
The assailant fled the scene immediately after the attack, and the Mumbai Police have registered an FIR. A senior IPS officer confirmed that the crime branch is conducting a parallel investigation to apprehend the suspect. Saif was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent surgery to address his injuries. Dr. Niraj Uttamani, the hospital’s COO, stated that the full extent of the damage would be known post-operation, and Saif’s condition is being closely monitored.
Kareena Kapoor Khan has remained by Saif’s side, while their sons, Taimur and Jeh, are safe. The incident has raised concerns about residential security, even in upscale neighborhoods like Bandra West. Fans and the Bollywood fraternity have expressed their shock, outrage, and prayers for Saif’s recovery as investigations continue.
