Salman Khan looks visibly DISTURBED as he leaves the hospital after visiting his father Salim Khan

After losing a father figure, Dharmendra, last year, Salman Khan is currently going through a tough phase as his own father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, has been admitted to the hospital for a brain hemorrhage. The superstar was seen leaving the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, where his 90-year-old father has been admitted after complaints of swelling.

Salman Khan looks visibly disturbed

Salman Khan left the premises of the hospital late in the night and made his way to the car as paparazzi and fans crowded around his vehicle. Amidst all the chaos, the superstar maintained his calm and composure; however, he looked visibly disturbed. He even closed his eyes, seemingly to pray for his ailing father or to avoid cameras while being seated in the car.

Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Doctor Jalil Parkar, who is looking after him, issued a statement, "Yes, it’s true that Salim Khan (father of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan) & an icon in himself has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital under Dr Jalil Parkar in the ICU early morning at 8:30 am. He was brought into the emergency by their family doctor, Sandeep Chopra. Emergency care was initiated in the emergency, and Mr Salim Khan was shifted to the intensive care unit on the 1st floor. A team of doctors consisting of Dr Vinay Chavan (neurologist), Dr. Ajit Menon (cardiologist), Dr. Nitin Dange (neurosurgeon), & Dr Bineet Ahluwalia attended to him. Respecting the relative’s request, further details ain’t being shared today."

He added, "However, on Wednesday at 11:00 am, we shall be addressing a press bulletin with due consent of the relatives & maintaining the confidentiality of the patient to the utmost. Kindly bear with us. He is stable but is under close observation in regard to his clinical status."

Family and celebs visit the hospital

After hospitalization, Salman Khan, Alvira Khan Agnihotri, Arpita Khan Sharma with husband Aayush Sharma, Javed Akhtar, Sanjay Dutt, and more paid a visit to the veteran screenwriter. Grandsons Nirvan Khan and Arhaan Khan were also seen arriving at the hospital.
