That Bollywood celebs draw huge paychecks for each film is no surprising fact. But did you know A-list stars like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and few others have worked in certain films free of cost? Yes you read that right. There are times when the stars exhibit their generous side and let go of their whopping fee for a reason. Check them out:

Salman Khan

Salman Khan is known for his generous nature. He has let go of his fee for not one or two, but three films! Salman did not charge a single penny for his cameo in Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt's 'Son Of Sardar'. He had also waived off his fee for 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo'. And most recently, Salman agreed to do a cameo in Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi's film 'Godfather' only on the condition that he won't take any money for it.

Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan is King of Bollywood for a reason. He is one of the kindest stars in the industry. Despite being one of the highest paid actors, SRK performed in 'Krazzy 4' free of cost as the movie was low on budget. He also did not charge a penny for his cameo in 'Bhoothnath Returns', and 'Dulha Mil Gaya'.

Amitabh Bachchan

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is the most sought after veterans of the industry. However, he acted in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film 'Black' without charging a fee. Big B always wished to be a part of the filmmaker's project, sp he got an opportunity, it was overwhelming for him.

Farhan Akhtar

Farhan Akhtar put his heart and soul to transform himself to fit into the role of Milkha Singh in 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag'. The film may have earned big bucks at the box office, but Farhan let go of his paycheck and took only Rs 11 as a shagun.

Sonam Kapoor

Sonam Kapoor has a slew of successful performance to her credit, and her role in 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' was no less noteworthy. Like Farhan, Sonam too waived off her fee and took only Rs 11 as a shagun for her character in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's film.

Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor earned critical acclaim for his role in Vishal Bhardwaj's 'Haider'. He had let go of his fee for the film so that the movie does well at the box office. Vishal Bhardwaj too waived off his complete fee for the same reason.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui

Nawazuddin is an actor par excellence and there are no two opinions about it. In one of his most gracious gestures, Nawaz waived off his fee for 'Manto' and took just Re 1 for his role. Director Nandita Das was moved by the and she had spoken about it in one of her promotional interviews.
