Sanjay Gupta took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle and wrote, "KHODA PAHAAD… NIKLA CHUHA." Internet users wondered if the filmmaker was disappointed by the first glimpse of 'Ramayana', starring Ranbir Kapoor. Now, addressing the issue, the filmmaker told HT City that the post was not meant for the teaser. He shared, "No, not at all. I don’t want to comment on it, and it’s not regarding 'Ramayana'."

Soon, after Sanjay Gupta shared the post, netizens expressed their opinions in the comment section. A person wrote, "Ramayana Glimpse Ko Bol Rahe Ho ?" Another one added, "Strange to see a comment from a film maker who is judging a 2 minute teaser in his mobile of a movie which has been filmed for IMAX." A comment read, "Kuch bhi! #Ramayana looks absolutely beautiful."
Sanjay Gupta had shared another post but deleted it later. It read, "Obvious observation. VfX companies don’t win Oscars. The technicians do." Netizens opined that it was an indirect dig at the makers of 'Ramayana', who have brought on board the VFX giant DNEG for the film. The team had won an Oscar for Best Visual Effects for Dune: Part Two at the 97th Academy Awards.
