Saurabh Sachdeva reveals Bobby Deol's entry step in 'Jamal Kudu' song was his idea; says he never thought it would become viral

Saurabh Sachdeva, who played the role of Abid, Bobby Deol's character Abrar's brother in 'Animal', recently revealed that he was behind the viral hook step for his entry scene in the film.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Saurabh shared that upon entering, he immediately began his usual exercise routine to ground himself in the moment. During this, he introspected on his feelings, continuously questioning himself until his attention was drawn to the background music, which he had not been listening to. Observing Sandeep and Bobby engaged in a conversation about a particular dance step, Saurabh joined in when asked, suggesting, "Let's do this." Both Bobby and Sandeep enthusiastically agreed to the idea. Bobby suggested trying something different, placing a glass on Saurabh's head, and incorporating it into the dance, adding his creative touch. Sandeep expressed his satisfaction with casting Saurabh, remarking, "Thank God I cast you." This positive interaction led to an invitation for Saurabh to join in the dance as well.



Discussing the widespread popularity of the dance step in viral videos, Sachdev emphasizes the song's organic and natural feel. He expresses surprise at the unexpected virality, acknowledging the absence of a choreographer for the song. Sachdev refrains from disrespecting anyone but appreciates that the absence of a choreographer allows people of all ages, from children to the elderly, to enjoy the song by adding their own light movements. He attributes the song's beauty to its natural and organic vibe, emphasizing the simplicity of the moves that anyone can replicate and even create their own variations. Sachdev reflects on how he never anticipated the music would gain such widespread popularity.




Reacting to the overwhelming response that the film has been receiving from the audience, Saurabh said that the response has been very beautiful and powerful. According to him, people are loving his performance also and he is grateful for what’s happening right now as he never expected it to break so many records and be so big.
