Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty made her acting debut with the superhit film 'Baazigar' which was released in the year 1993.Shilpa Shetty recently opened up about the hard work and dedication that shaped her long career in Bollywood. The actress shared an incident where she burned her back on the film set but still reported for work the very next day.She emphasised that she always tried to deliver and show up, no matter the circumstances, so that producers did not face any losses.

The burn incident on set of 'Baazigar'

Shilpa Shetty recalled getting burned by an HMI light during a shot. She explained in YouTube channel Tomorrow, Today Show, “I got burned by HMI light in a shot on my back. The shot was that I had to get out of frame and there was a baby light at the back and my back touched it. When you get a burn, you don’t realise it that very second, only when it starts burning, you realise it."Despite the injury, she chose to continue working without making a fuss.

Showing up the next day

Even with the burn, Shilpa made sure she was present for the next day’s shoot. She said, “I still showed up the next day. I had to wear an outfit next day, but I couldn’t wear it because I was burnt, so I wore it from the front and asked them to stitch it with threads so that I don’t have to zIp it."
Her determination to not let the team down was clearly visible in this incident.

Shilpa Shetty pointed out that filmmakers called her because they saw her dedication. She shared, “I got work because people saw the hard work. I would deliver and I would show up, whatever be the circumstances. I worked so hard in my life so that nobody else faces losses because of me.”She believes this consistent approach helped her build a career spanning over 32 years.Shilpa Shetty was last seen in the 2024 web series Indian Police Force. The show, part of Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe, also starred Sidharth Malhotra and Vivek Oberoi.
